WHO WE ARE
Shushinkan Karate is a traditional karate school. The Japanese words Shu Shin Kan literally mean: train, mind, school. Therefore, Shushinkan means: a school for training the mind.
At Shushinkan, we teach students to respect others, be courageous, train their minds and bodies, practice daily and protect traditional karate, strive to reach the essence of Goju-Ryu, and never give up! This is our Dojo Kun, which we recite at every training session.
Martial Arts is good, clean fun for kids and a great way to give them a head start in life. At Shushinkan, students learn the benefits of self-discipline, gain confidence, develop coordination, and increase strength and flexibility.
Because a structure of respect is built into Martial Arts, children develop the ability to listen, learn, and achieve within a highly regulated environment. This proves to be an excellent reinforcement of study techniques for school and work habits for future careers.
Our instructors are Black Belt professionals. Their energy, enthusiasm, helpfulness and friendliness are proof that our programs work.
Parents enrolling children and teens may rest assured that our classes are conducted by instructors who expect best behaviour, uphold rule, and provide continuous supervision. They strive daily to be the best they can be and are dedicated to passing along that special quality of assurance and achievement to every student.
